Regenerative Tourism

This modality proposes a new and harmonious relationship between the individual, nature and society.

Regenerative tourism looks at the local ecosystem and creates benefits such as generating employment and decent working conditions for the community in question. It also develops relationships with the local population and encourages tourists to connect with themselves and the region they are visiting. Finally, it also cultivates conditions so that all members of this ecosystem can develop their potential. Therefore, “the idea of regenerative tourism goes a little further,” says Araneda. “It is not just about conservation, but also about regeneration and repairing the damage caused.” It focuses on the destination, local communities, and the environment, rather than on the tourist or economic aspect.
