It had always been a reference for the whole country and for us at the H&H Fauser Institute; we had carried out many activities to promote native fruit here and we couldn't let this incredible project disappear. So I decided to become a farmer and rented Sítio do Bello for the next 10 years to continue the idea of commercially cultivating native fruits in the Agroforestry System and also to expand knowledge about them.” February/2023

AGROFORESTRY
Agroforests are systems that combine annual plant species with perennial plant species, arbours and native or exotic trees (fruit trees of any kind or trees for shade or wood), with the goal of combining agricultural production with environmental conservation.
